Likewise though, you can get huge grills which are designed to be able to cook for a whole family, or even larger. I much prefer using the larger ones, but if you are hiking then it’s not a good idea to buy one! The difference between a Portable Propane Grill and a Butane one is simply the gas itself. Butane is cheaper and burns more efficiently, but it is no good in cold weather and it doesn’t like to be used in rough country. This explains why Propane is so much more common, and it does the job just fine. Remember to pick the right size grill though, as this makes all of the difference. Also, match the grill size with the gas bottle or canisters that you are using! Even the best stove like a Coleman Camp Stove will not work well if you want to cook for 100 people!
